What is Purchase Order Finance?

Purchase Order Finance is short-term funding that pays your supplier directly so you can fulfill a confirmed customer order. It's designed for product businesses — distributors, importers, wholesalers, manufacturers — that get hit with supplier deposits before the customer ever pays.

Here's the short version: you've got a real, signed PO from a real, creditworthy buyer. We step in, pay the supplier, the goods get made and shipped, the customer pays the invoice, and we're cleared out of the deal. You keep the margin and the customer relationship.

How it works

Four steps. Goods out the door.

01

Confirmed PO from your buyer

Send us the purchase order from a creditworthy commercial or government customer. We verify the buyer and the deal economics.

02

We pay your supplier

Lendwise pays the supplier directly — via wire or a letter of credit. Goods get produced. You never touch the cash.

03

You deliver & invoice

Goods ship, you deliver, your customer gets invoiced. Now there's an account receivable backed by a real buyer.

04

Customer pays. We get squared.

Buyer pays the invoice. Our advance and fee come off the top. You keep the rest. Done.

Who it's for

You're a fit if…

Distributors & wholesalers

You buy finished goods from one source and resell to another. The deal cycle is short but cash-hungry.

Importers

You're sourcing overseas — supplier wants a deposit, factory wants the balance on shipment, buyer wants Net 60.

Manufacturers

You make to order. The raw materials bill comes in before you can invoice the finished goods.

Government contractors

Federal, state, or municipal PO in hand? Solid buyer, slow pay. We solve the gap.

Resellers & integrators

Tech VARs, hardware integrators, and resellers landing enterprise orders bigger than the working line of credit.

Growing brands

Just landed a big retailer or marketplace order? Don't say no to the PO — let's fund it.

Most PO deals close in days, not weeks. We move at supplier speed.

No equity, no covenants

We're not your investor. We're a transaction partner. Pay us off, do the next deal, repeat.

Scales with you

Land a bigger order next time? Great — we'll size the next deal accordingly. No artificial ceiling.

FAQ

PO Finance, answered

Do you pay my supplier or me?
We pay your supplier directly. You don't touch the funds, which is exactly what most suppliers want to see — and it protects both sides.
What kind of buyer counts as "creditworthy"?
Established commercial customers (regional and national chains, enterprises, well-known brands) and government agencies (federal, state, municipal). Distributors with a track record also qualify. We can credit-check a buyer in a few hours.
What if my supplier is overseas?
We work with international suppliers and can fund via wire or letter of credit. We've done deals into Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
What does it cost?
Pricing depends on the buyer's credit profile, the supplier, the goods, and the duration. The calculator above gives you a realistic ballpark — actual quotes are tighter once we see the deal.
Is there a cap on PO size?
No artificial cap. If the buyer is real, the margin is real, and the supplier is legit, we'll size to the deal.
Can I combine PO Finance with Invoice Factoring?
Yes. Many of our PO clients factor the resulting invoice for an end-to-end solution — we cover the supplier, fulfill happens, the invoice gets factored, and you stay liquid the whole way through.

You won the deal. Now go fulfill it.

Send us the PO. We'll come back with a quote and a plan.
