What is invoice factoring?

Invoice factoring is the simplest cash-flow tool a B2B business owns. You sell an unpaid invoice to Lendwise at a small discount. We give you most of the money today. When your customer pays, we release the rest minus our fee.

It's not a loan, so there's no debt on your balance sheet and nothing to pay back from your own pocket. Your customer pays us; you keep growing.

How it works

Cash in three moves.

01

Submit an invoice

You upload an invoice you've issued to a commercial customer. We verify the work was delivered and the buyer is good for it.

02

Get the advance today

Within 24 hours, Lendwise wires you a large percentage of the invoice value — typically 80–95% — straight to your bank.

03

Customer pays. Reserve released.

When your customer pays the invoice, we release the remaining reserve to you, minus our transparent factoring fee. That's it.

Who it's for

If you bill businesses, you're a fit.

Staffing & agencies

Payroll on Friday, client pays Net 45. Factoring closes the gap — every week, like clockwork.

Trucking & logistics

Brokers pay slow. Diesel pays now. Factor the bill of lading, fuel the next load.

Construction & trades

Subs and GCs sitting on big AIA pay apps. We can fund completed-and-billed work.

Manufacturers & distributors

Goods delivered, terms granted, cash gone. Factor the invoice and reload inventory.

Healthcare & medical

Medical and dental practices billing insurers and corporate accounts. Faster cash for slower payers.

Service businesses

Engineering, IT services, consulting, marketing — any commercial AR can be factored.

FAQ

Invoice Factoring, answered

Is factoring a loan?
No. We're buying an asset from you — the invoice. There's no debt added to your balance sheet, and there's nothing to "pay back" out of pocket; the customer pays us when the invoice is due.
Will my customers know?
Yes, your customer is notified that the receivable has been assigned to Lendwise and remits to us instead of you. This is standard practice and most B2B customers are familiar with it. We can handle the customer-facing communication.
What if my customer doesn't pay?
Most of our facilities are recourse — meaning if a customer doesn't pay within a defined window, that invoice rolls back to you and we replace it with another from your book. We also offer non-recourse on qualified buyers for an additional fee.
Do I have to factor every invoice?
No. You can factor selectively — invoice-by-invoice, customer-by-customer, or in batches. It's your business; we're a tool you use when it makes sense.
How fast do I get the money?
Once your invoice is verified, advances typically wire same-day or next business day.
What's the minimum or maximum I can factor?
There isn't a hard floor or ceiling. We've funded single invoices in the low five figures and ongoing facilities in the multi-million range. Talk to us about what you're trying to solve.
